Dr. Whitmore uses evidence-based approaches tailored to each client’s needs, goals, and life circumstances, helping you reconnect with what matters most. Therapy begins with time to understand your background, current concerns, and what you hope to gain from treatment. From there, you and Dr. Whitmore will collaborate on meaningful goals and an individualized treatment plan. Sessions typically last 60 minutes.
Dr. Whitmore provides support for the spectrum of anxiety disorders, depression, OCD, chronic illness, complex PTSD, personality disorders, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, adoption and parenting, women’s issues, and other life stressors.

About
Dr. Kristen Whitmore is a clinical psychologist with extensive experience providing therapy, psychological assessment, and neuropsychological assessment across a wide range of settings. Her background includes work in rural outpatient care, integrated primary care, private practice, and clinical training leadership.
After several years working in academic medicine, Dr. Whitmore moved to Hawaiʻi, where she continued her work in a group practice before opening Origins Behavioral Health. She has experience working with individuals across the lifespan and brings specialized expertise in trauma treatment, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, and neuropsychological assessment.
Her approach is thoughtful, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based care. Outside of her work, Dr. Whitmore enjoys spending time with her family, running, hiking, going to the beach, traveling, and cooking.
